HOUSTON, April 23, 2025 - Axiom Space will hold a virtual Science on the Mission press conference to share more about the experiments, microgravity research, and technology demonstrations that will be apart of Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4). Hear from Axiom Space’s Chief Scientist Lucie Low, as well as research experts from the International Space Station National Laboratory (ISSNL), the European Space Agency (ESA), Burjeel Holdings, Sanford Stem Cell Institute, and the three nations flying on Ax-4 – India,Poland, Hungary.
The mission includes around 60 scientific studies from 31 countries, marking the most research activities on an Axiom Space mission to date and highlighting its global significance and collaborative efforts to advance microgravity research in low-Earth orbit (LEO). The studies will contribute to human research, Earth observation, and life, biological, and material sciences, showcasing each country’s space research initiatives.
The Ax-4 crewmembers are Commander Peggy Whitson of theU.S., Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla of India, Mission Specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski of Poland, and Mission Specialist Tibor Kapu of Hungary. A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket will launch the Ax-4 crew aboard a Dragon spacecraft to the International Space Station no earlier than May 2025 from Florida.
