HOUSTON, Feb. 12, 2026 – Axiom Space, the leader in commercial human space exploration, announced today $350-million in financing to advance its mission to deliver the successor to the International Space Station (ISS) and ready its next-generation spacesuits for the United States' return to the Moon for the first time in more than 50 years.
The financing reflects continued strong institutional and strategic investor conviction in Axiom Space's leadership position.
Type One Ventures and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) co-led the round, with participation from 1789 Capital, 4iG, LuminArx Capital Management, and others. Axiom Space Founder and Executive Chairman Kam Ghaffarian also participated in the round, reinforcing his commitment to the company's mission. J.P. Morgan served as sole placement agent to Axiom Space in connection with the financing.
"The continued backing of strategic partners and world-class institutional investors like QIA reinforces the strength of our vision as we lead the transition to a commercial space economy in low-Earth orbit," said Ghaffarian. "We are proud to welcome them as partners in building humanity's future off planet."
Pioneering the New Space Economy
Axiom Space stands at the forefront of the emerging commercial space economy, building infrastructure and delivering technology-driven services that will enable human spaceflight, microgravity research, in‑space manufacturing, and orbital data compute for decades to come.
"Axiom Space isn’t just building hardware, it’s building the backbone of humanity’s next era in orbit," said Tarek Waked, Founding General Partner at Type One Ventures. "Their rare combination of execution, government trust, and global partnerships positions them as the clear successor-architect for life after the ISS. This is how the United States continues to lead in space.”
Attention is increasingly shifting toward companies positioned to lead the next major wave of commercial space innovation, and Axiom Space is at the top of that list. Its leadership across missions, technology, infrastructure, and international partnerships defines the company as the human space exploration leader for this generation.
The financing includes both equity and debt components and will support continued development of Axiom Station and production of the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU) under its NASA spacesuit contract.
