David Romero is the Axiom Station Program Manager at Axiom Space. He has extensive expertise in government space and defense programs, as well as a breadth of experience in commercial business lines.
Romero joined Axiom Space in 2023 as the Deputy Program Manager, where he made substantial contributions to the program, including leading strategic optimizations to enhance efficiency and alignment with customer needs and national objectives.
Before joining Axiom Space, Romero dedicated 24 years to advancing Space Systems, where he held a variety of senior management roles. Throughout his career, he demonstrated an outstanding ability to lead high-performing teams, on multi-billion-dollar contracts, and spearheaded the full life cycle of cutting-edge, human-rated spaceflight hardware through design to application and use in spaceflight.
He holds a Master of Business Administration from Rice University, a Master of Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Orleans. Throughout his career, Romero has received numerous accolades, including the AIAA Engineer of the Year award and the NASA Public Service Medal.
